Our Prediction:

Osasuna will win

Osasuna – Betis Match Prediction | 21-09-2019 15:00

They would rise all the way up to 2nd place were they to win this match while Betis would climb at least seven places should they emerge victorious. This weekends opening game should be a pretty even one as a talented Betis side makes the long trip to Pamplona to take on unbeaten Osasuna. The newly promoted side have made an assured start to life at this level with one victory and three draws to their name.

Victory over Los Verdiblancos at El Sadar would temporarily lift Jagoba Arrasates men into 2nd place ahead of the remaining weekend fixtures and that will undoubtedly spur on the hosts to get another positive result. As a result, Osasuna go into this Fridays encounter against Betis 9th in the La Liga table with six points on the board, following a win and three draws so far.

Osasuna vs Betis Odds

Their current form and results make me believe that they wont manage to upset the hosts too much. Despite their good form during the last season, and finishing it in the 10th place, Betis had a significant drop in the quality of their performances. They obviously need to improve their game a lot if they dont want to get any closer to the relegation zone. In their most recent 5 clashes, they recorded 3 losses, 1 win and 1 draw, with 6 goals scored and 10 allowed. They didnt have a good start this season and are currently placed 15th with 4 points and a goal difference of 6:9.

It is well known that Osasuna are tough to beat at home and given los Beticos poor start to the season, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Jagoba Arrasates troops. The newcomers have been producing fine performances at the start of the 2019/2020 La Liga season and, as a result, they sit in the top half of the standings ahead of the visit of Real Betis. Thanks to Roberto Ibanezs late goal Osasuna managed to hold Real Valladolid to a draw at Estadio Municipal Jose Zorilla on Matchday 4.

He started the season in fine form with new signing Borja Iglesias still struggling with a knock. They will take on an Osasuna side that should feature few if any changes following their bright start. The suspension of Moron may actually be something of a blessing in disguise. That presented Rubi with something of a selection dilemma but he can now focus on fielding what he would have always perceived to be his strongest attacking unit.

Cards & Corners

This has the makings of an intriguing game with Osasuna unbeaten at home in the league in 17 months taking on the title favourites Barcelona. Clearly the Pamplona outfit havent come up against anyone on Barcas level during that long unbeaten home streak but they will be encouraged by the number of key players their opponents will have to leave behind here.

Right now they are on a five-game undefeated streak, with 2 wins and 3 draws. They are continuing with the great results this season, and after 4 matches they are in 9th spot in the standings with 6 points and 4:3 goal difference. Their defence is tight, so I believe that they wont concede any goals, and considering the fact that they are in a better form than their opponents, I also believe that theyll score. In those last 5 matches, they scored 5 goals and allowed 3. Osasuna has spent 2 seasons in La Liga 2 and then made a spectacular comeback to the top flight of Spanish football.

Betis are starting to find their feet under Rubi though with 4 points from their last 2 matches. They did well to get a point out of their game with Getafe last time out given that they finished the game with only nine players as Loren Moron and William Carvalho saw red. Thats all theyve managed for the season so far but theyve really not been helped by being reduced to 10 men in the opening half hour of each of their home matches to date.

Osasuna vs Real Betis Preview, Prediction, Betting Tips

Osasuna actually come into this game a point above Barcelona in the table. There has only been one goal scored in their two matches so far, netted by Chimy Avila in the win at Leganes. They did though see their 17 match home winning streak ended last time out with a draw against Eibar but coach Jagoba Arrasate will be delighted that his team is yet to concede.

Theyve struggled defensively and this has proven costly, which will be a worry for the travelling fans. Real Betis have seen a tense 1-1 draw against Getafe over the weekend in a game theyve finished with nine men, as William Carvalho got set off in the first half and Loren Moron followed in the footsteps in the final minutes of the game.

Friday nights La Liga action comes from Estadio El Sadar, as last seasons Segunda champions Osasuna take on Real Betis in Pamplona. The hosts have made an unbeaten start to life back in La Liga and will be confident they can extend that record here against a Betis side who have lost five of their last seven on the road.
